The Ride Home

The kids were so worn out after spending the afternoon at the lake, they passed out on the way home. We need to do this everyday!

The Lake

Ann and Rusty called and invited us to go to the lake with them on Sunday (I still can't believe they went the day after the wedding). Mary Mason and Stratton both had such a great time. Since the pool at the Club was closed, this was a great idea to wear the kids out. Thanks Ruscoes!!

Reception

Mary Mason had such a good time dancing at the reception!!

Wedding Day

Mary Mason was the flower girl in Rhett and Cassie's wedding this past Saturday. Of course she wouldn't take any pictures for me, but these are a few that I got. She did much better for the photographer when I wasn't in the room. Cassie looked beautiful, and it was such a fun weekend!

Amazement

Stratton is amazed by any kind of machinery, especially lawn mowers. This is Stratton watching Rusty mow the yard next to us. He sat like this for about 20 minutes, and if you got in front of him he got so mad. He's so cute!!

Doctor's Appt

We finally made it to Stratton's 9 month checkup (2 weeks late), and he did great!! He is 31 inches and weighed in at 21 lbs. After an afternoon of running errands in Memphis, he slept all the way home.

Stratton

I mean, how CUTE is this little boy!! He is just so sweet and happy, and truly a joy to have. We love him so much.

Our Artist

Mary Mason loves to paint, and this is her latest creation. She's so proud of it!

Big Boy

Finally, Stratton has started to hold his own bottle. We're still working on it, but it's a start!!

Popsicles

Mary Mason LOVES popsicles, so we make them every week for her to snack on. Here she is enjoying one of her smoothie pops. Stratton even got a taste, and you can tell how much he liked it from the picture.

Marathon Weekend

Me, Lesley, and Sarah out to eat the night before the marathon in Nashville

Easter

Easter was a wonderful day. We went to church and then to eat with Mason's family. I tried my hardest to get both the kids to cooperate for pics before we left, but y'all know how that goes. Stratton had a great time posing and showing off, but Mary Mason didn't want to have anything to do with sitting still and smiling. I got a few cute ones. I smile everytime I look at him b/c he always has the sweetest grin, and that dimple gets me every time.

The Dress

Okay, so I absolutly LOVE to dress Mary Mason up, and holidays are my favorite. I loved her Easter dress so much, I didn't want her to wear it because I was scared she would mess it up. She of course looked so pretty in it, and I can't wait for her to wear it again. I thought it deserved it's own title & picture on the blog. Stratton looked adorable too, but there is just something special about a little girls dress!

Easter Eggs

Mary Mason dyed easter eggs for the first time this year. We did it on Friday and almost got blown away. She had such a good time doing it. She had a crayon to draw in the eggs, but it didn't work, so she stuck some of her stickers on them. They turned out so cute.

Potty Trained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited to say that Mary Mason has been 100% potty trained for about a month now. She is wearing her big girl panties all day and all night and is yet to have an accident. I am such a proud mama!! She loves to sit on her potty and look at her books. Here are a few pics of my mom reading to her in the early days of her using her potty.

stay tuned

So, I sat down tonight to download pictures and FINALLY update the blog. 1 problem: I can't find my cord for the computer so I can't download. We only have like 25 USB cords in the house, and of course none of them fit in my camera. Anyway, I'm heading to Radio Shack tomorrow, so hopefully I will be ready to roll tomorrow night (that is if I actually have another night with a few minutes to spare before I crash into bed!). Stay tuned.......

bathtime!!

I took Stratton to the doctor Wed for his 6 months shots. He's up to 19 1/2 lbs and 26 1/2 inches (6 lbs and 2 inches in 2 months). Wow!! He LOVES to eat and is growing so fast. He has such a good time in the bathtub splashing around, and I love the way his big tummy looks in his bathtub seat!

our new stroller

Yea!! I finally bought a double stoller when we were in Jackson. They both love it, and now Stratton's finally big enough where I can take both of them.

Jackson Trip

We went to Jackson to Cat's house this past weekend, and the kids had a blast! MM played the piano and sang the entire weekend, she ate a little snow, and we got a new double stroller that they both loved.
